FP2003 - Create Share Point Team Services Web Locally?

I like FP'03 so far. I thought that I would toy with the Share Point
Services templates to get a taste for them, however, when I attempt to
create a Share Point Services web, I get the error "This web site must be
created on a server that is running SharePoint Services from Microsoft.
Please choose another location." (where the present location I have chosen
is on my local hard drive).

Can I not design locally and then publish to a server that is running
SharePoint Services?

Also, when I click to create this site under New Web Site, the Web Site
Templates screen comes up, but when I click the tab labeled SharePoint
Services, there are no (zero...notta) templates showing. Is this normal, or
did something fail to install?

You must be running a local or remote WSS server to use any of the Share Point Services webs or STS templates

That's because WSS adds more than "styles" and layout information to the web, so FP will not show you any WSS templates unless you
are on a WSS server

You can get a free 30 day trial of a WSS site (to try the WSS templates, etc) at
http://www.iwtrial.com/

I am trying to use frontpage2003 but when i publish its asking me to use sharepoint server and front page extensions. i have no clue what i am suppose to do. i did receive a few trial versions of microsoft server and sharepoint server but i only have win xp on my home computer. does anyone have suggestions as to how i can use my trial versions with a home edition of windows xp

Not possible with Windows XP Home as you must have a web server installed,
and Windows XP Home doesn't support any MS Web Server and you need IIS.
