FP2002 Question

I posted this in microsoft.public.frontpage, but thought I would post it
here as well as this group appears to be more active.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've created a web page in FP2002 in which I want to embed some pictures
(jpg files). When I insert the picture (Insert/picture/from file), the
picture is inserted and then it must be saved to the folder holding the
html page for it to continue to be displayed in the web page. I thought
when you inserted the picture, it was embedded in the document/webpage and
you did not have to include the actual jpg file in the folder.

What am I missing here?
Thanks
Charlie

A HTML file is basically a text file, and nothing can be embedded in a text file.

In FP you first open a web, then you must create or import all content into this open web that will
be used in the web. Then you will need to publish the web to a server that has the FP extensions, if
you want to use any of the features of FP.

No, nothing is "embeded" in html documents - it is all *links* like <img
scr="../../images/yourimage.jpg"> is a Link to the image. You then publish
the html page and the image.
