FP2002: Pasting HTML

P

Pete

I find that when I past HTML code into the HTML editor in FP2002, it changes
what's pasted and renders it inoperable and hence prints as text when I
preview. What I have to do is actually type it in in order for it to remain
as it should in order for it to display correctly. Can someone explain
what's happening here and if there is a way to paste HTML code without
FP2002 'autoformatting' it to something else?

Thanks.

Paste it into Notepad first, and then copy from Notepad
and paste in html view.

Paste HTML into Notepad then copy and paste into FP's HTML view.

I prefer to use "Edit | Paste Special... > Normal Paragraphs". Saves a step
and pretty much works all of the time.

Thanks, I'll have to add that to my ever

Didn't you get one in the "Welcome Aboard" package? ;)

By the way, Welcome Aboard.

How weird I just stumbled upon this trick yesterday too, what a step saver it is!

Thanks for the "Welcome"
As for the package, it was last seen
in Portland on the 27th.

You'd think they'd release some sort of patch/mod thing that could fix this. Or just add Paste
Special to the Right Click menu....

The easy way around that Pete is to post it into note pad first then
copy and paste it into frontpage.

That will solve the problem.
