FP2000 Error message

I could really do with help on this.

I am receiving this error message when I click publish
button?

"An error occured accessing your Frontpage web files.
Authors- if authoring against a web server, please
contact the webmaster of this servers site. Webmasters -
please see the servers system log for more details"

Also if I click tools menu Security is blanked out? So I
can't even change web permissions.

I have removed office and re-installed, same problem
I have just upgraded to WINXP.

Desperate for an answer
 
1) What happens if you use File | Publish instead of the Publish button?
2) What did your host tell you was in the server's system log?
3) Security is only available when you open the online web via FP, and only
if the host allows it. Many don't.
