FP-XP Fp Includes vs. SSI includes

In previous version of FP, you could not use an FP component->include
to include a column in a table since the include mechanism wanted to
take the whole page width. Instead, you have to use an SSI include to
accomplish it. That had some disadvantages when working within FP.

I just tried this in FP-XP and it seemed to work OK. That is, I was
able to insert an include page in the column of a table and it seems
happy. Are there any "gotchas" that I should know about before
building the site around this "new" feature?

Thanks,

In all versions, you can use the FP Include Page component to include content anywhere on a page or
within tables, etc. The only limitation is including content before or after the <body></body> tags.

I'm a little confused with your comment, because I've used includes in cells /
columns with all versions since 98 with no problems.

Really ? I am moderately sure I'd tried this in FP98 and had it blow
the table out as it tried to grab the page width.

That would only happen if you created a fixed width table on the include page and then included it
into a table cell that was smaller in width or you have hyperlink such as the long one in my sig
below, which will not wrap.
