FP vs PUB

I manage a website for work. I have always used MSPUB (2002 now)to create and
maintain the site. We have a monthly newsletter that I develop and print to
hand out and mail to families of the nursing home residents.
I used HTML years ago to do this for my home site but never taught myself
FrontPage. Is it worth learning FP to have more options and or a better
looking site? (auglaizeacres.com) I never thought about switching because of
using PUB to create newsletter, which is also part of the website.
Thanks

Paul, I have a question for you if you don't mind, please . . . I bought FP
over 2 years ago and never even opened it (severe illness). Now, I've
installed on my computer and am attempting to self-teach. (I find it most
difficult). Anyway, I read youre response about Expression Web and am/have
been aware that it was replacing FP. BUT . . I can't afford to purchase
Expression Web, so:

1. Will what I'm learning in FP carry over to EW (if I'm ever able to
purchase it)? so that it would be worthwhile for me to continue teaching
myself FP?

2. I plan to build my web site very soon (as soon as I know enough). Will
FP be supported long enough to make building it in FP worthwhile? And, once
FP is phased out, can EW take over my FP site?

Thank you for any information.

If you avoid webbots (FrontPage components such as Picture gallery,
search forms, hit counters and FrontPage navigation components), learn
some HTML and CSS, then you could use any web page editor without too
much difficulty. Expression Web is similar to FrontPage, a website
without webbots can be edited with either program.

FrontPage 2003 will be supported fully by Microsoft until January 2009,
with partial support until 2011. Support in newsgroups and forums goes
on much longer.

A 60 day trial for Expression Web is available. You can use this to see
what can be done in FrontPage, and what you should avoid.

Do not forget the product key obtainable from a link on that page.

....and the upgrade from FP to EW is under 90 bucks...when you're ready.

Definitely don't use Publisher. BUT...you can output your Publisher
Newsletters to a PDF and use them in your web for your viewers to print out
on their own machines.
