FP Search Not Working

F

FishyFred

For quite a while I've had a web site at

http://www.petfishtalk.com

on a dedicated server running Red Hat Linux.

I am in the process of moving this web site to a new
server running Windows 2003 Standard Edition at

http://66.98.139.213/

The Search Page on the old server at

http://www.petfishtalk.com/pages/search.htm

works fine, but the Search Page on the new server at

http://66.98.139.226/pages/search.htm

does not, and give an error message "The page cannot
be found" at

http://66.98.139.226/_derived/nortbots.htm

I have made sure the FP Extensions are installed and
performed a Recalculate Hyperlinks. Still the new
Search Page give the same error.

I would appreciate some help.

How did you "move" the web site? Did you http:// publish it to the new
site?

Did your host create an Index Catalog in the Win 2003 Servers (for the search form), and did you open the online web in FP and the
search page to set it to use the index catalog (plus run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks)

Hello,

I am the host (on a dedicated server), but I am new to Win 2003 Server
(Standard Edition), and did NOT know that I needed to "create an Index
Catalog", but I did open the online web site in FP and ran the
Recalculate Hyperlinks.

How do I "creat an Index Catalog"?

Thanks for the help,

Tom

Hello again,

Above I said,

"I am the host (on a dedicated server), but I am new to Win 2003 Server
(Standard Edition), and did NOT know that I needed to "Create an Index
Catalog" ...

"How do I "creat an Index Catalog"?"

I know how to log into my server using the "Remote Desktop Connection" and
from there to "Administrative Tools" then to "Manage Your Server" where
Server Roles can be added.

I read about Server Roles and Indexes.

But I still do not know how to "Create an Index Catalog", so the Search
Page in my FP site on this server will work.

I need some help and hints on how to "Create and Index Catalog" for this
web site.

Thanks again

FF
