FP:- Program Not Responding !!!!!

I'v recently had to reinstall XP, and follow that with reinstalling
all the various Applications .
Frontpage 2003 - installed "ok" - but if I try and use it - it starts
up, it opens up - but does not appear to "completely" start up - Mouse
remains in "hourglass", and if I try clicking anywhere -it immediately
goes to "Program Not Responding" !!
How and why is a mystery! it was Fine prior to this reinstall.
I installed XP, I installed the XP service Pack, brought "Windows
Update" fully up to date.
and began the process of reinstalling Applications.

This is the only one to be failing me. I'v tried Repair, remove,
reinstall.... still no go!

I can't imagine there's a Patch of any kind available - since it never
needed one the last time,
I Do recall that the last time when I installed this - I DID have
FP'98 on the system - and the 2003 install performed an Upgrade - so I
installed '98 and ran 2003 as an upgrade - Program not responding is
STILL happening.
Any clues/ideas/solutions you can suggest ??
many thanks.

when it does this does the application offer to send an error report in?
If so it should have an option for you to see what it was.

after your reinstallation have you been able to successfully open it at
least once?

Yes it does offer to send a report - never taken a look in there
thinking I'd probably not understand what I'm looking at,
but yep - when I re-start another episode of reinstaling it - I'll
take a look at that for any clues.
and No - have not been able to successfuly open ~ not once.
just brings up the FP window - but at the point where you'd expect it
Ready to make use of - it's not,
and click anywhere - and it instantly come sup on top of FP screen -
program not responding.
I'v continued on and installed all other Apps, and have taken an
Acronis backup - and yep.. about ready now to start having another go
at this.

Having Just replied as before - I thought I may as well have another
try....
not expecting anything more than what's happened before...
Installed ok,
I started it up,
the mouse became an hourglass as normal - coupel of seconds later it
Fully Started up! It's Working !!!!!!!!

I have done nothing to Fix this - not a thing! other than just giving
up and moving on to reinstall all the other Apps on the Pc,
Windows update last night only had a single update for me - don't
recall what it was now~
and that's all!
I did fire up about 3 Registry fix programs - although I'v never had
much faith in these things... they find errors even after a clean re-
install!
gotta make you wonder?!
but I already tried these when I had Fp "installed" - and it made no
difference.
I can only think - mabe somehow some other App I'v installed had ?!??
altered "something" - as unlikely as that could be..
I dont have any other Office type programs installed, no other
Microsoft software that could interfere with FP,
I dunno - very peculiar !! but I'll delve no further it's working!
I'll go now and take a fresh Acronis backup!! ha~ grab a backup with
all Apps working as intended! :)

sometimes weird stuff like this happens to me (not necessarily with MS
software) and when it finally works out it's a surprise.
Hope everything stays together for you.
