FP 2003 password protect a page

I am fairly new to Front Page and have not done a lot with web pages. I have Front Page 2003. I am trying to find a simple way to password protect a page that even I could understand how to do.

The method described will accomplish this. Remember, your host must allow
subwebs and must allow you to password protect them.

| I am working in FrontPage 2002 and the instructions are for FP 2000. I
assume these instructions are close to the same for FP 2002?? My website is
for a Boy Scout troop and I am wanting to password protect a couple of pages
in the website from the general public and let my Scouts access these pages
only, using a single username and password. Will the method described
accomplish this or are these instructions only good for the administration
of the website, i.e., the webmaster letting a selected few users be able to

I get to number 11 - On the Tools menu, click Security, and then click Permissions and can't find "Security" on the Tools" menu

Only available when you open the online web via FP, and only if the host
allows it. Many don't. You would need to contact the host to set up the
security in that case.

Are you by any chance hosted on an Apache/UNIX server??
If so does it have CPanel??
If so open Cpanel, open Access Menu, click Web protect.
