Hello,

I'm recieving an error when I try to submit both of the FP
forms on my site. They are both simple forms that e-mail
the results to someone in the office.

Here is the error:
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log
for more details.

According to the host, the server's application even log
says something like - "Sender address rejected because it
needs a fully qualified address"

Other FrontPage sites on the same server have forms that
are working fine. My forms stopped working about a month
ago, but they were previously working fine. We didn't
change anything on the forms.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Sarah

Sound like the email address is either not complete or that it must be to an address that is part of
the domain.

Example:

Domain is abc.com
then the email address must be (e-mail address removed)
and not
(e-mail address removed)

We did think that was the problem at first, because the web host is not
hosting our e-mail - so the e-mail address was different. But I made the
address (e-mail address removed), which the host assures me is a real address on
their server. I still had the same result.

Thanks very much for your response, any other help will be appreciated.

Howdy.

You or your host need to:

1. Display the FrontPage Server Extensions 2002
Server Administration Web page.
2. Click the Administration link for your virtual server.
3. Click Change Configuration Settings.
4. Under Mail Settings, enter a valid SMTP mail server
address and a valid From Address
(i.e. (e-mail address removed)).

That worked!
Thanks so much - you really made my day. I was starting to
lose hope.
(I own one of your books by the way)
