FP 2000 crashes when updating CSS on XP

I got it into my head to fool around with style sheets, so fired up
the old FrontPage 2000 I have on my XP workstation. I created the
sheet, saved it, updated one style, saved it. Now every change I make
produces an exception, and FrontPage exits.

I've googled up a couple of threads on this, so I'm not the only one,
but I didn't see any solution offered.

(Yes, the obvious solution is to upgrade to FP2003)

Can't find any report of this in MSKB.

If there was ever a fix or work-around discovered/published, would
appreciate someone replying here. Someone suggested cutting and
pasting the CSS into a notepad file, I guess that will work, but of
course I'd hope for something better!

Thanks.

The Lite version is free, but if you really want to get into CSS, the Pro
version is well worth the price.

No good fix.

Tools | Configure Editors | Set the defaults for css files to Notepad.

Alternatively grab Top Style Lite (http://www.bradsoft.com) which will do a
better job than notepad.

Apart from that, nothing.

Peter.
