Is there a way of searching for text in emails for ALL mailboxs -- eg a global
search not just in one mailbox which the 'edit, find mail' function does?

If you mean by "mailboxes" accounts, let's say you have 4 accounts
(with the yellow peg in front of it) then the answer is "No"; if you
mean mailboxes as FoxMail uses the word (subfolders in an account),
then the answer is "Yes", just leave the checkbox "Search in
subfolders" checked, and it will do its job.

Now that could be the problem: 4.2 has lesser options than 5.0.800 (the
most recent version). You can upgrade to 5.0.800 without any problem,
so my suggestion is to do so.
