I have recently built a machine for a friend with the Foxconn K7S741GXMG-6L motherboard. The manual and the Foxconn website say that the maximum capacity for the board is 2GB. I've tried using 2x 1Gb modules but it only recognises 1Gb. I know there's nothing wrong with the modules because I've tried them seperately. I've downloaded the latest version of the BIOS and it still doesn't work.

The Foxconn helpdesk were useless. Is there anyone out there who has the skills to help me?

Usual problem I would say ... RAM incompatibility ... or Foxconn are lying. ;)

Well played!

I think you've cracked it. The person for whom I built the machine tried to put PC3200 modules in, when I explicitly told him to use PC2700.

You just can't trust some people!;)
