My problem is I'm not to good with computers but, I just purchased a new one
that came with vista, which has Microsoft windows mail. I am used to outlook
exppess. When I go to forward e-mails I type in the first few letters of my
contacts I wish to forward to and no contact pops up. Out look had this
feature and I would just scroll to the dasired contact and hit enter. It now
seams as if I have to remember all my contacts' addresses. What do I do ???
Please help if ya can. thanks Doyle

Windows Mail has such a feature, but it doesn't use the contacts list.
Instead,
it uses a separate list of the last 29 addresses you sent messages to. If
you
want to use it, start Windows Mail, then click Tools, then Options, then
Send. If there if no checkmark in the box before Automatically complete
e-mail addresses when composing, click on this box, then Apply. Click on
OK.

If you'd rather use the contacts list, start a new message as usual, except
don't type any part of the address. Instead, click on To:.

WinMail takes its AutoComplete addresses from a different source than you
list of contacts. This list only stores the last 29 that you sent to. Try
clicking the To:.
