Forwarding E-mails that have been buried w/in other forward

E-mail that has been forwarded from a previously forwarded e-mail appears as an envelope in the attachment field. Sometimes you have to go three and four deep to find the original e-mail. When I forward the original e-mail, I do not get a forwarded mail icon (envelope w/ blue arrow) next the mail item in my Inbox. If I get called away and come back to my desk, I cannot tell by looking at my Inbox if I had forwarded it. I must go to my sent items to see if the message is there. Are there any options that I can set or change to have a forwarded mail icon appear on these messages?

The buried attachments depends on the sender; this cannot be controlled by
the receiver.

For the icon; what version of Outlook are we talking about and what type of
mail account? Exchange, POP3, IMAP, HTTP, other...?
