Forum and Form Completion

Now that I know from Steve and David that Office 2007 won't contain a new
version of FP, I may have to rethink my purchase strategy.

Currently I have FP 2002 and I want to develop a website that will have an
interactive "forum" amongst a number of volunteers in our group. This will
allow them to "chat" on line. They are separated by geography over quite a
large region.

In addition, I want the volunteers to be able to complete certain evaluation
forms for submission regarding their various projects that they are doing. My
last exposure to forms with FP was a couple of years ago and the only way I
could get the form to work was to list the questions for their completion and
e-mail to me. Not too satisfactory - was using FP2000, I believe then. I
would like to have the forms completed and available for other volunteers to
look at and perhaps review/revise as may be necessary. I may like the forms
to be simply tables in .doc type format.

Can these two items be achieved? I hope to start planning this website in
the next week or so.

Many thanks. Norm.

I sounds like what you might want is a SharePoint site, See if your web
host offers this. If so you might want to look into SharePoint Designer
2007 when it comes out.

Thanks David. I don't at this point have a host but expect to very shortly.
I'll certainly ask if they offer the SharePoint. Will look into the Designer
07 - from the MS website, looks like it won't be too long in coming.
