Someone sent me a worksheet which have formulas with a
number of "IF" statements, when the formula is displayed I
can't see the column heading at the top of the sheet.

Is there a way to increase the display bar so that I can
still see the column headings? Tracing it did not help
much.

Thanks in advance.

You could hide the formula bar (and edit directly in the cell).

View|Formula Bar (or alt-V, F to quickly toggle)

Or you could make your worksheet window less than maximized and resize so that
you can see what you want.

You can also drag the formula bar to another dock position or let it
float in the middle of the sheet (below the cell).

Unless I'm doing something completely wrong, this sounds like a Mac feature.

Whew! (I was afraid that I couldn't get see the obvious. It _may_ have
happened to me once--maybe twice. <vbg>)
