How do I get the formula bar to be in permant display ?? In older
versions ( pre ribbon ) it was Tools>Options>View> Formula bar -then
just above the column lettering the formula bar would always be in
view -can't find out how to do this in 2010

In xl2007, the formula bar checkbox is found on the View tab in the Show/Hide group (directly under the View tab).

This really ticked me off. Hopefully this gets cross-posted
everywhere, because it took me 15 minutes to figure out. Go to File >
Options > Customize Ribbon > [select 'all commands' from the drop down
menu] > [create new tab and rename (I chose, "hot shit"] > add
'formula bar' > [click 'OK']. Your new tab is now viewable across the
tab bar in excel. Click "hot shit" and check formula bar. Bam!

Seriously Redmond? Why do I have to create a custom tab to view my
damn equation editor?
