Any way to increase visual size of formula bar?

The formula bar and all the things I type when typing formulas are too small
for me to see. Is there any way to increase the visual size of the formula
bar, similar to the way we can increase the size of worksheets?

Thank you.

In xl2003, experimenting reveals that the font/pitch
adjustment for the formula bar can be made via
Tools > Options > General tab >Standard Font/Size
(Increase the font size to taste > Ok)

Then quit Excel & restart as per prompt

Again -- something related.

I know of no known way to change the font or font size used on For
controls (the classic kind) - i.e. comboboxes and dropdowns.

A couple of weeks ago all my dropdown menus switched from using Tahom
8pt (the previously-thought unchangeable standard), to 10pt. And I ca
find no way of changing this back. I don't know what caused thi
change, and the other people who use my system wonder why the text no
spills off the edges of the menus. I don't want to have to make th
menus bigger to accomodate the text.

And no, the sheets hasn't been zoomed. And the text shown on th
'undropped' part of the control is still in 8pt. Only the dropdow
part itself has the larger text. Not only this, but the row height o
the dropped items hasn't changed, meaning the text on each line i
truncated vertically

Thank you, Max!

In Excel 2007, you do it this way:

1. Click on the Office Button
2. Click on Excel Options
3. Change the font size.
4. Quit Excel.
5. Restart Excel.
