Hi,

I would appreciate it if someone can tell me if there is any reason why
I cannot use this toolbar. When I am in a certain cell and I use the
trace dependent or precedent buttons, nothing occurs. I have
successfully used this command on my last computer to check formulas. I
would very much appreciate any advice.

thanks.

I can't tell if it works in some cells but not in others. If it doesn't work
on any, especially cells you have put the equation in yourself. YOU probably
need to reinstall Excel.
If it works on some, check to see if cells where it doesn't work would
fall into the catagorys listed in the help section in
"Troubleshoot tracing dependent, precedent, and error cells"

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. The command does not work at all on any
cells, even on newly created worksheets. Is there an option that needs
to be turned on or is installing the entire program the only option.

thanks.

I would try to reset the Toolbar before anything else as drastic as
re-installation.

Tools>Customize>Toolbars.

Scroll down to the Formula Auditng toolbar.

Select but do not checkmark then hit the "reset" button.
