Forms - Sort of Error..

Guest

I have used forms lots of time before with out any problems but I have
incorporated a couple of forms onto a revised site one of them keeps on
giving me an error. Which I can't seem to get to the bottom of. The forms
have been published via FP to the net.

The error page displayed "FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.
Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details."

The form is http://www.minicooper.org/newsite/register_car_new.htm ...the
information collected is sent to a csv file and emailed. Any information is
collected saved and emailed. The form properties specify a confirmation page
which is valid. If there wasn't a confirmation page I would expect a 404
error.

The other form is
http://www.minicooper.org/newsite/forum_member_register.htm this works fine.
The settings with the Form Properties are the same (apart from file names!)

I will say that the working form was giving me this error but I recreated
the form and it worked. I could try that with the other form but with all the
drop downs it would have to be a last resort!

Any ideas and Thanks

Hi Robert
I have had lots of things go wrong with forms in the past, what usually
fixes it for me is to delete the form and re do it.
Your form is long so what I would do is copy the page before deleting the
form, that way you can copy the elements like drop down boxes and past them
into the new form from the copied page.
It might be worth doing it in stages say, insert two or three fields
publish the form and see if it works then continue.
To speed up publishing I usually right click on the file in folders list and
publish selected file only.
Hope this helps
