Forms Protection

Hello

I have created a form in Word 2003 and when I try to protect it the "start
enforcement button" is greyed out. I have tried everything to remove it but
can't get it!! Can anyone help me out? Many thanks in advance.

Does the form contain any ActiveX controls (from the Controls Toolbox)?

I don't know? I opened the forms toolbar, inserted text form fields and one
drop down list.

As long as all the forms controls were from the Forms toolbar, you should be
okay. There's something else that causes this, but I've forgotten what it
is--maybe having Track Changes on?

I might be asking the obvious, but have you set a protection type? (e.g.
select the checkbox under Editing Restrictions and then select 'Filling in
forms' from the related dropdown list.)
