Formatting

I was sent an attachment with a word document. When I bring it up the
formatting contains all the \para & \tab and all of the other mark ups. How
do I correct this?

Hi Lisa-

What you are seeing are non-printing characters which are nothing more than
'placeholders' for whitespace in a document. Their visibility is essential
for editing, but can be a problem for reading.

You can Show/Hide them in any document at any time by:

1- clicking the ¶ button on the Standard Toolbar,

2- pressing Shift+Ctrl+*, or

3- going to Tools>Options--View and uncheck all boxes in the Formatting
Marks section.
