I just formatted a computer with xp pro and for some reason it reconized all
the usb ports as removable storage drives. so i disabled them in the
device manager so there isn't a huge list of non-exist drives, but im stuck
with the main hard drive on the letter I, and i want it to be C but it says
i can't change it because it is the system volume

anyone know how to fix this?

Right click on the my computer icon select mange, go to disk management and
click on it. the right lower window will display all your drives right click
on the box displaying your drive and select change drive letter and paths.

thanks for the reply but thats exactly what i tried to do when it gave the
message that you can't change the letter because it is the system volume.. i
was hopin there was some other way of doing it, probably with regristy
tweaking... not a big deal though
