Formatting The C Drive In Windows 2000

How do you format the C drive, so it can be re-built
running Windows XP. I am under the impression that a
number of re-build disks are needed, but I do not know
where these can be located.
 
Boot your machine from your XP CD, then allow your disk
to be formatted when prompted.
 
will this remove all the rubbish on the C drive and allow
us to reinstall evrything again?

we want to get the lap-top completely clean

yep it will, the format will delete everything
