I have a document that i need to format into a Q & A format - how would I
accomplish this? Thank you so much in advance.

With indentations, paragraph settings, etc but you could set up styles to do
that.

It sounds like maybe your friend just needs to keep things simple for now.
But definitely advise her/him to read the Help files or to get a good
beginners book.
