I am currently using Word Office 2003. I have a table of contents from a
document that was done manually without a field. I need to create a table of
contents in another existing document that will contain a field along with
the exact formatting that was previously done manually in the original
document. I have tried to do this by creating a basic TOC with field codes
but am having difficulty getting it to look like the original table of
contents in the other document, i.e., font, numbering, tabs, etc. I have
tried repeatedly to modify the TOC styles by changing the font, tabs, etc.,
but it never works. How do I change a TOC and make it permanently work with
my specific style?
