I have a 20 gb master hard drive and was running out of room so I had a 160
gb installed as a slave drive, now I need to know how to format this new hard
drive. I want to continue using my computer as one complete hard drive even
though there are two, is this possible?

If you are saying you would like to have one 180 G hard drive that is not
possible. In fact if your new drive is faster than your old drive you would
be better off to install your OS onto the new drive and format and use your
old drive as the slave. You may have software that came with your new hard
drive to 'ghost' the contents of your old drive onto the new drive. It is
also recommended (if you have third party partitioning software) to
partition that large drive into a few or several partitions. The advantages
outweigh the disadvantages. One is that you can defrag a smaller partition
faster than one large partition. Another is that you can (and should) put
your virtual memory file on a partition separate from the OS.

If the drive came with installation software check that first. Otherwise
you can go to the drive manufacturers website and
download it free.
