I had posted this on another newsgroup, maybe the wrong one, I am reposting
here.

Curious if it is possible to format 1 volume of a partitioned hard
drive.
For instance I have DRV1_VOL2, DRV1_VOL3, DRV1_VOL4 and would like to format
DRV1_VOL3. Will this format the entire drive or just the targeted volume?
Thanks,
Donna J.

each partition, identified with a drive letter, can be separately formatted.

Thanks Val.
I appreciate the help. I did receive an answer on the other newsgroup.
