Formatting Menus

Hello,

I need to reset all of my menus and I would like to have my file, edit, view
etc (the drop down menus) on one level and then the fast buttons for save,
undo etc on a separate line below. At the moment I can either only have them
all on the one row or fill the first row with useless things so that the
second row looks like i need.

I had them set differently before but a rest has stuffed everything up on me.

Any ideas?

To the left of what you refer to asw the "fast buttons" is a faint vertical
line. Click and hold, and move the fast buttons to wherever you want them to
be, then release the mouse button.

Thats exactly what i expected to be able to do, but it doesnt work.

Beside my file, edit, viex etc drop down type menus I have a dot line.

I have then a thin grey line where the specific 'fast buttons' start. All
on the same line at the moment. I cannot separte them onto two separate
lines.

Can I change this somehow?

OK, Go to Tools, Customize. Select the Toolbars tab. Untick Worksheet Menu
Bar. right at the bottom, as well as Standard and Formatting at the top.
Now tick Worksheet Menu Bar, and see what happens. After that, if
everything is fine, reselect the Formatting and Standard Bars.
If it does not work, ie if the Worksheet Menu Bar comes up with all the
unwanted icons, click on Commands, then click and drag each unwanted icon
from the menu bar to the Commands windo, and release it. Do this until the
menu bar has been restored to its former glory, and then tick the Standard
and Formatting bars again.

Yeah I had to create a new toolbar specific for the items I wanted.
