Formatting Mark

Occasionally, not consistantly, when typing a word document I will have a
strange circular mark appear where a space should be. Usually to get this to
stop I have to shut down and reboot my machine. How do I get this to stop?

Please help! this is very annoying.

Your description isn't precise enough to make a positive identification. It
might be a nonbreaking space, or an en space or em space. Any of these will
appear only if you have nonprinting characters turned on.

Look through http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm.

It is the en space em space symbol that is coming up but it is not
consistantly showing. I do have the show button turned on and would
understand if they came up where every space was but they do not. It is a
sporadic issue.
