Formatting in Word

I would like to remove the double space that automatically appears when I
press return in emails. I am using Word 2003 and Outlook as my email handler

Format the paragraph in the Style that is being used so that it does not
have space before or after it, or use Shift+Enter, which starts a new line
rather than a new paragraph.

Hope this helps.

Word automatically converts a paragraph break into two line breaks in email.
Either use a line break to end your paragraph or (since you probably want
space between paragraphs), use a single return instead of two; you can get
the same effect in your document with Space Before/After, which won't affect
the resulting email.

I find formatting e-mail a little murky. OK, really murky. Are you using
"stationery?" Do you have normal.doc set to add that sort of line spacing
between paragraphs? I have wrestled a lot with formatting e-mail and have
never found any good resources to help. (Then again maybe it was there all
the time and I just did not know where to look) But I did figure out a
pretty complicated way to do it which included using Word and html. I would
be happy to explain in more detail if you want but maybe the other
suggestions have answered your issue. You can e-mail me and I will post
what I did.
