Formatting Form

Thanks for taking the time to read my question.

I just got Access 2003 and I am wondering if I can change the colors of the
forms.

I can change the background color, but the record selector bar, and the
border etc, are all the default window color.

Is there a way to get around this? It looks really bad.

Thanks,

Brad

Hi, Brad.
Is there a way to get around this? It looks really bad.

One cannot change these colors individually from the Windows system colors,
so if the user selected prison cell grey out of the millions of colors
available to SVGA monitors, then that's what he gets.

Consider removing the record selector bar, the vertical scroll bar and
possibly the horizontal scroll bar. Does the form really need these? If
not, open the form in Design View and open the Properties dialog window.
Select the Format tab, and set the Scrollbars Property to "Neither" or
"Horizontal Only." Set the Record Selectors Property to "No." Open the form
in Form View. The navigation buttons and horizontal border on the bottom
will still be there, but the rest of the form will show the form's background
color or image.
