Urm....silly mistake this, but I've recently installed
WinXP and I can't use any of my ZIP Discs. I formated AND
compressed them using Win98, so obviously WinXP is having
a hard time reading them.

So, how can I save my files on these discs?

Data on discs are not vital, but would like someone to
point me in the right direction to saving £50 worth of ZIP
storage.

If the data is not vital and you want, you can reformat the disks and reuse
them. If you want to save the data, you will need to find a machine with a
zip drive and 98 installed. Uncompress them and copy the info back to the
new computer.

Windows XP does not support DriveSpace feature used on Windows 98.
You will have to reformat the discs again using normal FAT. Do not use
Quick Format.
Or You may need to find a 98 machine to uncompress the discs to use
them again.
