Formating Navigation Bar

I use layout table with small cells, in which navigation bars reside. The
font size for bars is set to 7pt.

However, in Desigh view, there is 'add link' clickable option for editing
the nav bar. The 'add link' font is bigger (I think 10pt) and makes bar
longer (i.e. wasting space in the actual table cell). I can't shrink the
cell so that it's width is only sufficient for the nav bar, otherwise the
whole nav bar wraps itself and makes the cell twice as thick/high, which I
don't want either.

Is there a way of making table cells only as narrow and long as the actual
formated nav bar requires, thereby not wasting table space? Many thanks.

Thanks Stefan. It's not how it looks in preview though. The problem is that
I can't size the cell any smaller because of webbot in the Design view.

Pls. take a look at phototramp.com. There is a menu bar at the bottom left.
It's fairly short, but the middle space is wasted since I can't stick large
enough cell in the middle due to the 'add link' in the left menu cell.

In other words, I'd like to make the cell holding the left bottom navigation
bar just as small as the menu bar is, but it needs to be longer because of
'add link' link in the design view and I don't know how to get rid of it or
make is smaller despite of it. Cheers.

Split that cell ( like the row below it) and remove the 10pt style from the td tags
Add you content
- don't worry if it stretches the table in design view
- that code is not in the saved page which is all that counts
