Do you have 20 GB Hard Disk Drive and 120 GB hard disk drive?
or you have one 120 GB Hard disk drive and formatted 20 GB and install windows xp on it?
Is that Internal or External?
what do you means right way?
are you talking about Method?
If you want use whole 120 GB, you need format by NTFS.

You should check the Maxtor web site for information on how to configure the
hard drive. Partitioning and formatting depends on how you use your
computer. If your 20 gig hard drive has sufficient space to handle it's
currently installed programs and is at least a 5400 or 7200 with 2mb buffer,
you can leave it as the primary master and either install the new hard drive
as a slave on the primary or a master or slave on the secondary IDE
controller.
With 120 gb hard drive, I would tend to create a few partitions for
installing new applications and one for data. Usually I start with a couple
of 10 to 20 gig partitions leaving the rest of the drive unallocated if I
don't have a current need for the space. This allows you to create
partitions when you need them using XP disk management.
Check out third party partitioning web site for some information and insight
on partitioning configurations.
