FORMAT please

i needto know what format i need to burn a dvd so it
could work on my home dvd player the orgiginal format is
mpg4 i have downloaded spmethhing from winavi.com but it
dont say convert from mpg4 it says vcd and stuff i tried
it but there was no audio while converting
 
Vob, Ifo and Bup files. These are created automatically by your DVD burning
software such as Sonic MyDVD, Roxio or Nero or by TMPGEnc. After encoding
the first three will go on and burn the DVD. with TMPGEnc you must then
launch your third party burning software and burn the DVD.
