Format of the boot.ini file...

Could anyone shed some light on the format of this file

I am trying to dual boot FreeBSD and Windows XP

I have Windows XP on a 40 gb drive and FreeBSD on a 120 gb drive

The 40gb drive is on the first IDE slot, with the 120 gb (BSD) on the second slot

Here are the current contents of the boot.ini file

[boot loader
timeout=3
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOW
[operating systems
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /fastdetec

Thanks for help in advance

Feel free to email me...

Hi,

The XP bootloader will not boot FreeBSD, you need a third party boot manager
that will or use the LILO boot manager.
