Hi,
I have a WinXP Pro machine with one hard drive and two partitions (NTFS).
When ever I want to reinstall Windows, I make a backup of my files on the
second partition and then with the WinXP Pro CD, I reformat the first
partition and reinstall Windows.
Now I need to reformat a computer for a friend who has a different setting
and I was wondering if the same method would work.
He has a computer with WinXP Home, one hard drive with two partitions (both
FAT32). Would a reformat of one partition using the WinXP Home CD leave the
the second partition intact, like it does on my computer? The differences
are Home v. Pro Editions and Fat32 v. NTFS.
In addition, can I reformat the partition as NTFS while leaving the other as
FAT32 & intact?
Many thanks in advance!
