I would like to format my C:, does anyone know how to
create a start up disk like you used to do in win98 to
enable you to boot to dos, and then format the c:?
Hope someone can help?!
Thanks
Steve

Just boot with the XP CD and then reinstall.

The XP disc is bootable - just set your BIOS to boot from the CD drive (see
your documentation for details) and follow the prompts.

you should be able to set your bios to boot from cd ...
then let system boot to cd and use your winxp cd to
format the drive ...on some systems you must
disable "boot from hard drive " in bios to work corretly
