Form Validation with letters

I've just started having problems with spam through the form on my
website and have tried using the graphic letter trick. How do you do it in a
separate box (as Chris has done on his form
-http://www.myscacc.org/contact_us.htm )? When I ask for the letters to
be typed in the actual form, it will only accept the 5 letters and nothing
more
- so it is not solving the problem. I can't see a way to do that through
the "validation" textbox on FrontPage 2003. Thanks

Another problem - sometimes my validation failure page
(www.artful.ca/validate1.htm) comes up and sometimes the FrontPage default
validation page comes up when the validation requirement is not met. Is this
just a glitch?

Actually, when I wrote that reply, I thought the problem had been solved
(but it turned out to be only temporarily) and I hadn't had any responses for
3 days and the string seemed to be "dead". I posted another question on
3/30/2007 entitled "Form Validation inconsistent" and got a very helpful
answer from Thomas Rowe. You can read about it there. At any rate, I am
very happy that the problem was sorted out.
