Form created in 2003 - Now in 2007 - Lost the use of Drop Down box

Hello,
I created a document in MS Word 2003 which included drop down lists, message
boxes, help, etc. and then protected the document.

I just upgraded to MS 2007. I finally figuered out how to un-protect the
document via the developers tab. I made some changes to the document and
then protected it again.

Now when I open the document and <TAB> to the fields that should have drop
down boxes, they do not work. What am I doing wrong?

What I did to activate protection: I have gone to the developers tab,
Protect Document, and set it to "Restrict Permission" Unrestricted Access"
and entered a password.

Hope someone can help please. thank you.

The "Restrict Permission" link at the bottom of the task pane is not the
correct place.

In the task pane, you can click the "Editing restrictions" check box for
"Allow only this type of editing in the document" and then choose "Filling
in forms" in the dropdown under it, and finally click the Start Enforcing
Protection button. That's the hard way, though.

Instead, right-click the Quick Access Toolbar and choose Customize. In the
dialog, select the category of Commands Not in the Ribbon. Click on the Lock
command in the list and click the Add button, then OK. This works like the
lock icon on the Forms toolbar in Word 2003, toggling protection on and off.
