forgotten passwords

this will go down as the most stupid question ever.
but as im not all clued up i need to ask.
we have windows xp pro at work on a network. a now ex-
employee has changed the user name and password to one of
the computers. and guess what there's no password reset
disk.

can anyone help with this problem ?

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:

log on as administrator and delete that account and creat a new user account.
