forgotten password

I have forgotten my Windows XP password and thus have no access to my
computer beyond the welcome screen. There is only one user account on my
computer, so I can't go in through another account. I have tried hitting
ctrl-alt-del twice and typing in administrator, etc., but an error message
says "unable to log on because of an account restriction." Can I do anything
to fix my computer that doesn't require logging on to my account, or should I
just reinstall Windows XP/ erase the hard drive?

After you've fixed the problem, using the link quoted
by Road_Runner, ask yourself how many sets of keys
you have for your car, and why it is more than one.
Now apply the same principle to your PC.
