forgotten administrator password needed to run recovery console

I have forgotten the administator password which is
necessary to run the Recovery Console. I cannot logo to
windows xp inorder to find it. Is there anyway of getting
around this.

If you are using windows xp home edition no administrator password is
required. Simply leave the password box empty and press Enter button.
However, if you set an administartor password in home edition or, for that
matter, if you are using XP Professional and you have forgotten the password
then you are, for want of a better word, stuck. As far as i know there is no
way of bypassing the admin log in.

if having the user permissions couldnt the person create an account with
the privelages they need? log on with the new account and do whats needed?

I have come to your rescue. Install the free software listed onto a floppy
disk. It gives you an option to make a CD but I have found it not to work
properly. When you boot from the floppy and follow the instructions it
removes the password option before the recovery console. If you have any
problems with it post back here. Good luck.

PS I have used it a number of times with my customers and it works flawsley
if the instructions are followed accurately.

If you boot the CD you will probably find, on taking the immediate R,
that what is wanted is a blank - TAB over and Enter

don't have to worry about loosing our passwords. And free software t
