G Guest Dec 4, 2004 #5 My father has the same problem on his 4 month old emachines. What's the problem. Seems like a lot of people are experiencing a "lost password" syndrome. I've got calls in to emachines .. but obviously this is a software problem. XP is dropping or doing something to make the system require a password..
