forgot password to win 2000

I forgot my win 2000 password and need some vital information on the hard drive. How can I get into the pc or change the password.
 
Firstly, if it wasn't the administrator account you can simply log in that
way. But assuming you did lose that, you can remove that hard drive, and
install it in another machine that understands NTFS 5. (namely Win2k or XP)
and reset permissions as necessary and grab whatever data you need.

search this newsgroup for posts with the word password,
you can find a much easier way than removing your hdd.
