Hi,
I am a newbie using front page, I have front page 2002.
I have not updated my website in ages and now that have
updated it when I want to publish it frontpage is asking
me for a username and password which I don't remember
what they are (I didn't even remember I entered one to
begin with LOL). Is there anything I can do?
Thank you in advance for all the help
Jo

1) Call your host or internet service provider.

2) Look back at your emails if you signed up for a host account online (eg one
of the 'free' hosts like geocities etc) and got the user details through email.

3) Otherwise if the host/ISP are one and the same, it *should* be the same
Username and Password as for your internet access.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Andrew, it was probably
obvious to everybody else but wasn't to me LOL yes I did
save e-mails from when I signed up for the web space and
I found the info in there, thanx again
Jo

You're welcome and glad it fixed the problem. One more thing....next time you
publish, check the box that says "remember password" (or similar). It will save
your log on details - it will still come up with that box, but the details will
already be in the fields, so you just click OK and there won't be a need to enter
the details each time..

Just don't go and 'clear password list' in Internet Explorer (under advanced
options or somewhere, as this will delete all your passwords you've ever used).
It is best to have a physical list of all the passwords for whatever various
purposes you use them for.
