Chad,

Thanks for the info. I do have one question.

After the force removal from the domain and the server is
put into a workgroup, I'm going to add the server to the
domain as a member server. Will I loose the
rights/permissions the server had when it was a domain
controller?

I only to demote the server to a member server. However,
I do not want to lose any permission or rights the server
has.

Hi Chad,

If you are talking about NTFS permissions assigned to files or folders,
those will remain. When you make it a member of a workgroup you may SIDs
in there but once you rejoin it they should resolve to user names.
