ForcePSTPath issue, PST deleted

I am using Outlook 2003, my PST file is not stored in my default location but
on my F drive f:\My Documents\Email Store Folder\Outlook

Today I added my Microsoft Exchange email account to outlook in addition to
the POP accounts already present there.

However I noticed that the store folder for the downloaded Exchange email
was in C:\Documents and Settings\User\Microsoft\Outlook\

So in order to change the store folder for these emails (OST files) I did
some research online and followed the instructions on
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=896591

After I modified the registry key and restarted Outlook all my previous
emails dissapeared. I checked the store folder my original 1.4GB PST file was
no longer there. I searched for it everywhere on my computer but couldnt find
it.

After this I have tried a system restore, but still no luck.

Please help as this PST file has all my important personal/work emails from
the last 5 years.

You must have done something else as a setting change will NEVER delete
Outlook data.

"After I modified the registry key and restarted Outlook all my previous
emails dissapeared"
That is normal as it rebuilds the cache; the new messages will be downloaded
again from the server creating a local copy.

While change the location of the ost-file in the first place? It is only a
local cache of what is stored on the Exchange server itself.

Either way, as for the pst-file; restore from backup.
